Hiring: Digital Manufacturing / MES Engineer (Industry 4.0)

Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu / Badvel, Andhra Pradesh

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled MES / Industry 4.0 Engineer to drive digital transformation initiatives across manufacturing plants. This role involves implementing MES solutions, integrating shopfloor systems, and enabling smart manufacturing use cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support MES implementation and rollout at plant level
• Map manufacturing processes into MES workflows
• Integrate MES with PLC / SCADA / HMI systems
• Enable machine & utility data acquisition
• Configure MES modules: OEE, Production Tracking, Quality, Downtime, Traceability
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and IT teams
• Coordinate with vendors and system integrators
• Support testing, commissioning, training, and stabilization
• Drive IIoT and Industry 4.0 initiatives

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Industrial Automation (PLC, SCADA, HMI)
• Hands-on experience with MES platforms like:
• Ignition, AVEVA MES, Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Wonderware, SAP ME/MII
• Knowledge of protocols: OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IP, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, MQTT
• Understanding of Manufacturing KPIs (OEE, Productivity, Quality, Downtime)
• Basic knowledge of SQL / databases

Preferred Background

• Experience in process / discrete manufacturing (FMCG, plywood, MDF, etc.)
• Exposure to IIoT / Industry 4.0 projects

Qualification

• B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Automation / Mechatronics
