Job Description

Job Title: Audiologist

Job Location: Srinagar (Full Time)

(Candidates from Jammu, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Kerala, Chandigarh, and Mumbai are preferred. The company will provide accommodation in Srinagar to the selected candidates.)

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience (new graduates may be considered with

supervision.

Joining: Immediate or within 15 days


Mount Dev Solutions is seeking a self-motivated and dedicated candidate for one of its clients to assess, diagnose, and manage hearing and balance disorders in patients of all age groups.


This role involves delivering high-quality audiological services, fitting and managing hearing devices,

providing rehabilitation and counselling, and supporting public health initiatives related to ear and hearing care.


Responsibilities:

1. Clinical Services

Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments, including pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, tympanometry, and otoacoustic emissions (OAE).

Assess and manage balance and vestibular disorders, where the scope of practice allows

Diagnose types and degrees of hearing loss and recommend appropriate interventions

Fit, program, and maintain hearing aids and assistive listening devices

Provide hearing rehabilitation, aural therapy, and patient/family counseling

Manage and monitor patients with tinnitus and noise-induced hearing loss

Carry out newborn, school, and occupational hearing screenings where required


2. Collaboration & Referrals

Work closely with ENT specialists, medical officers, nurses, and allied health staff.

Refer patients for medical or surgical management when necessary.

Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions.


3. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, assessments, and treatment plans.

Prepare audiology reports for referring clinicians and stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with clinical standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements.


4. Community & Preventive Health

Support community outreach, education, and awareness programs on hearing health.

Promote prevention of hearing loss related to noise exposure, infections, and medications.

Assist with occupational hearing conservation programs if applicable


5. Equipment & Quality Assurance

Ensure proper use, care, calibration, and maintenance of audiological equipment.

Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards.

Participate in continuous improvement and professional development activities.


Requirements:

Experience working with children and adults preferred

Experience in community or rural health settings is an advantage


Skills:

Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills

Excellent communication and culturally sensitive patient care

Ability to explain complex information to patients and families

Attention to detail and strong documentation skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Computer literacy and familiarity with audiology software

Turnaround time for reports and referrals

Patient satisfaction and follow-up compliance

Compliance with clinical and regulatory standards


Qualification:

Bachelors/Diploma Degree in Audiology (Minimum)

Masters Degree in Audiology (preferred, depending on regulatory requirements)

Eligible for registration/licensing with the relevant Health Professional Council
