Role description

Role Summary

Leads the design optimization and governance of enterprise backup infrastructure across hybrid environmentsDrives automation DR testing and service improvement initiatives for Commvault Azure Backup and Veeamplatforms

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement global backup and recovery strategies
• Manage and optimize CommServe Media Agents Azure Vaults and Veeam repositories
• Lead upgrades capacity planning and DR exercises
• Automate recurring tasks using PowerShell Python or REST APIs
• Perform RCA for major incidents and recommend preventive measures
• Integrate onprem and cloud backup solutions Azure Blob AWS S3 etc
• Ensure compliance with security retention and regulatory standards
• Mentor and guide L1L2 engineers and conduct KT sessions

Required Skills

• Experience 7 to 11 years of experience in enterprise backup infrastructure management
• Expert knowledge of Commvault architecture Azure Backup and Veeam Enterprise Plus Cloud Connect
• Strong understanding of storage virtualization and networking
• Proven experience with multipetabyte crossregion environments
• Scripting experience PowerShell Python Bash for automation

Certifications Qualifications

• Bachelors Masters degree in Computer Science IT or related field

• Veeam Certified Architect VMCA
• ITIL v4 Foundation or higher
• L3 BACKUP
• Experience Required: 11 to 15 Years
