Key Responsibilities

1. NDIS Claiming & Invoicing

Process and submit bulk payment requests via the PRODA/myplace portal.
Verify that service bookings and invoices align with NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (PAPL).
Reconcile NDIS remittances and manage "rejected" claims by identifying and fixing error codes.
Liaise with Plan Managers and the NDIA regarding funding discrepancies.

2. Core Bookkeeping & Compliance

Perform bank reconciliations and manage Accounts Payable/Receivable using Xero or MYOB.
Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Installment Activity Statements (IAS).
Ensure accurate GST coding (identifying GST-free vs. taxable NDIS supports).
Maintain an audit-ready digital trail of service agreements and support logs.

3. Payroll & HR Administration

Process payroll in compliance with the SCHADS Award (Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services).
Manage Single Touch Payroll (STP) filings and Superannuation Guarantee contributions.
Track staff certifications and NDIS Worker Screening Checks for compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, with at least 1 year specifically in the Australian NDIS sector.
Education: Bachelor/masters degree in accounting or finance.
Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Xero (required) and familiarity with NDIS-specific software like ShiftCare, CareView, or Lumary (highly regarded).
Domain Knowledge: * Deep understanding of the NDIS Support Catalogue and line items.
Familiarity with Australian tax laws (GST, PAYG, and Superannuation).
Attention to Detail: Ability to process high-volume transactions with zero errorsessential for NDIS audits.
Communication: Strong English proficiency to communicate with Australian stakeholders and Plan Managers.
