Assistant Vice President - Property & Engineering Underwriting

AVP - Property Underwriting - 12+ Years - Mumbai

We are seeking a AVP with strong Property & Engineering underwriting expertise to lead a high-performing team at a reputed corporate office in Mumbai. This role offers the opportunity to drive strategic underwriting initiatives, ensure compliance, and contribute to both top-line and bottom-line growth.

Location - Mumbai.

Responsibilities -

1. Ensure targets are met, including an optimal mix of top and bottom line.
2. Manage the team of underwriters in corporate office and branches.
3. Oversee referrals for Property and Engineering lines of business.
4. Ensure adherence to Underwriting Guidelines and delegated authority.
5. Ensure compliance with various guidelines and rules set by IRDA, GIC, etc.
6. Maintain recording and file management of proposals and data for audit purposes.

Requirements -

1. Technically sound in Property/Engineering underwriting.
2. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
3. Strong knowledge of MS Office tools.
4. Postgraduate from a renowned college/university (Engineering/MBA preferred).
5. Minimum 5 years of experience in Property & Engineering underwriting.
6. Experience in team management.
