Assistant Professor / Associate Professor – Computer Science & Applied Artificial Intelligence

Core Responsibilities

1. Research & Thought Leadership

• Develop and sustain a high-impact research agenda in areas such as:
• Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
• Generative AI & Foundation Models
• Data Science & Big Data Systems
• Robotics & Intelligent Systems
• Computational Neuroscience / Cognitive AI
• AI for Social Good (healthcare, rural systems, sustainability)
• Publish in top-tier journals (FT50 / Scopus Q1 / ABDC A*) and premier conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, AAAI, CVPR, etc.)
• Secure competitive research funding, grants, and industry-sponsored projects
• Build research labs, centers, and interdisciplinary initiatives

2. Teaching Excellence

• Design and deliver rigorous, future-oriented curricula at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels
• Teach courses such as:
• Machine Learning & Deep Learning
• AI Systems Design
• Algorithms & Data Structures
• Distributed & Cloud Computing
• Applied AI in Business & Society
• Employ case-based, project-driven, and experiential pedagogy
• Mentor students in research, startups, and global competitions

3. Institutional Contribution

• Contribute to curriculum innovation and program design
• Support accreditation efforts (EFMD, ABET, AACSB-equivalent standards)
• Engage in academic governance and strategic initiatives
• Strengthen global academic partnerships and exchanges

4. Industry & Societal Engagement

• Collaborate with industry leaders on applied AI solutions
• Translate research into real-world impact, particularly in:
• Rural and emerging economies
• Public systems and governance
• Healthcare and education technologies
• Contribute to executive education and policy dialogues

Qualifications

Assistant Professor

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field from a globally recognized institution
• Demonstrated potential for high-quality research and publication
• Strong teaching capability and emerging academic identity

Associate Professor

• Ph.D. with 8+ years of academic/research experience
• Proven record of scholarly excellence and impactful publications
• Evidence of research funding, academic leadership, and doctoral supervision
• Established international academic visibility

Desired Profile

• Global exposure and/or collaborative research networks
