Assistant Manager - International Sales

Cookd is a consumer food brand from Tamil Nadu with a community of over 6 million followers. We make masalas and cooking kits that help home cooks make brilliant meals every time. We dont just sell spices. We sell outcomes. We sell across D2C, quick commerce, marketplaces, and 2,000+ retail stores. International exports is a new and strategic revenue channel. Were looking for someone to own this from the ground up.

Role Description

Own international exports revenue end-to-end distributor relationships, sell-in, sell-through, and collections

Identify, evaluate, and onboard distributors across key diaspora markets Australia, US, UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Middle East, and GCC

Navigate regulatory and compliance requirements labelling, FSSAI export norms, local legislation, import certifications

Set and manage export pricing, margin structures, and trade terms with Finance and the Founder

Work with supply chain on purchase orders, MOQs, packaging specs, and shipment planning

Own catalog strategy for exports which SKUs go where, in what pack sizes, with what claims

Build market intelligence competitor analysis, product gaps, and consumer research across target geographies

Own the exports P&L revenue, margins, costs, and contribution

Qualifications

38 years in international trade, exports, or cross-border distribution in food, FMCG, or consumer goods

Youve managed distributor relationships across geographies and know what makes a distributor work

Youre comfortable with regulatory complexity across markets you know how to find out what you dont know

You understand diaspora markets food habits, purchase triggers, and unmet needs of the Indian consumer abroad

Youre entrepreneurial you can structure ambiguity and build systems from scratch

Youre comfortable owning a revenue number and being accountable for it
