Assistant Manager Internal Audit

Job Role: Senior Executive / Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager - Internal Audit

Job Location: Thane, Corporate Office, Mumbai

Job Description:

• Plan and execute risk-based internal audits for EPC projects and head office functions.
• Conduct audits covering project execution, procurement, contracts, finance, stores and subcontracting.
• Evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, SOPs and delegation of authority (DOA). Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies and potential fraud risks.
• Perform site audits for ongoing and completed EPC projects.
• Review project cost controls, BOQ consumption, RA bills, variation orders and claims.
• Audit material management (receipt, issue, wastage, reconciliation).
• Verify subcontractor billing, certifications and compliance with contract terms.
• Check adherence to company policies, accounting standards and audit guidelines.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and control environment.
• Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Track and follow up on audit observations and closure of audit points.
• Prepare clear, concise audit reports with observations, root cause analysis, and recommendations. Discuss audit findings with project teams, functional heads and management.
• Support investigations related to fraud, irregularities or whistleblower complaints, if assigned. Promote a culture of ethical conduct, compliance, and governance across the organization.

Qualification & Experience:

• Employee must possess a B. Com / M. Com / Diploma / bachelors degree in engineering.
• Must possess at least 4-7 years of experience.
• Working knowledge in SAP is essential and command over written & oral communication in English.
