Renate is Looking for: Artificial Intelligence Intern (Full Stack)

The Role As an AI Engineer Intern at Renate, you will build the system end-to-end. This is not a "help out with one module" seat. You will own pieces of the product that real clients are using training and fine-tuning the models that interview candidates, deploying them through proper CI/CD, hardening auth and security, and shipping features alongside the rest of the engineering team. You will report directly to the founder and ship code that goes live the same week you write it.

Your Impact

• Train, fine-tune, and evaluate models that power live candidate interviews across 13 languages
• Build and maintain voice agent pipelines STT, TTS, turn-taking, adaptive questioning
• Deploy models and services through CI/CD into production, not staging
• Own auth management end-to-end OAuth flows, JWT, session handling, role-based access
• Harden the security posture of the platform API security, secrets, secure deployment
• Collaborate with the rest of the AI engineering team to ship features fast and well
• Maintain full content knowledge across the stack so you can debug, extend, or rebuild any part of it
• Use Git properly clean commits, useful PRs, no broken main

What You Bring

• Genuine end-to-end ability you have built and shipped something real, not just completed tutorials
• Working understanding of voice agents and the LLM voice stack (bonus if you've shipped one)
• Comfort with model training loops, deployment pipelines, and the infra that holds them together
• Awareness of security and auth as first-class concerns, not afterthoughts
• High ownership, high speed, and comfort with ambiguity
• Ability to collaborate with other AI engineers without needing constant direction
• Mumbai-based or willing to relocate immediately

• Open-source contributions, side projects, or hackathon wins
• Experience with adaptive or agentic systems (not just single-turn LLM calls)
• Exposure to recruitment, hiring tech, or HR-adjacent products
• Prior internship or freelance work where you shipped to real users
