Artificial Intelligence Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Software Engineer to translate cutting-edge AI concepts developed by our AI Hub R&D into robust, production-ready applications for Group Companies under Nemetschek Group. You will work at the intersection of AI innovation and scalable software delivery, collaborating with cross-functional teams across geographies to bring next-generation AI solutions to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI to Production: Translate cutting-edge AI/ML concepts and R&D MVPs into practical, high-quality, production-ready software solutions delivered Group Companies.
• Cross-team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Group company developers, the team manager, and international teams (preferably EU-based) to understand requirements and align development efforts.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Implement and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery including automated build, test, and deployment processes using GitHub Actions.
• Code Quality: Provide and enforce high code quality standards and best practices; integrate code review tools and conduct thorough code testing and validation.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy & sanity checks of applications on GCP (including Cloud Spanner, Firestore, Cloud Run, GKE); leverage microservices architecture and cloud-native tooling.
• MCP Integration & AI Tool Connectivity: Design and implement Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and clients to expose backend tools, databases, and services to AI agents and LLMs in a standardized, discoverable manner.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Work hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE) to build and manage containerized services at scale.
• Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all implemented solutions on Confluence.
• Proven record of working on Agile/Scrum Environments.
• Innovation Tracking: Stay abreast of emerging software technologies, AI/LLM advancements, and industry trends to continuously improve the team's delivery capability

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 48 years of professional software development experience with a proven track record.
• Strong hands-on experience in integrating AI/ML models into existing Software products .

Technical Skills

Programming Languages: Python (strong), SQL (strong); Java or C++ a plus

Cloud Platform: GCP (primary) Cloud Spanner, Firestore, Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub

Databases: Cloud Spanner (distributed SQL), Firestore (NoSQL), PostgreSQL, BigQuery

MCP, API: RESTful design, Remote MCP (HTTP + SSE transport),Local MCP (stdio transport)

Containers: Cloud Run, Kubernetes (GKE), microservices architecture

CI/CD: GitHub Actions

AI/ML Stack: LangChain, LangGraph, LLM APIs, RAG pipelines(Basic understanding of Graph is needed)

Monitoring: Application Monitoring, Alerts via GCP console, automated testing frameworks
