Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced AI Development Expert to design, develop, and deploy AI-driven applications using foundation models and custom AI pipelines. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, LLMs, and prompt engineering, with the ability to integrate AI solutions into business systems while ensuring scalability and performance. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven applications and services using foundation models and custom AI pipelines
• Integrate AI models into business systems, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance optimization
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective AI solutions
• Continuously refine prompts, fine-tune models, and optimize AI responses for improved accuracy and user experience
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies, tools, and best practices to guide innovation within the organization

Required Skills

Must-have skills:

• Deep understanding of large language models (LLMs) and foundation model architectures, strengths, and limitations
• Proven expertise in prompt engineering to craft, optimize, and automate complex prompts for generative AI models
• Strong hands-on experience in Python programming
• Working knowledge of Node.js
• Solid understanding of modern software engineering practices including APIs, CI/CD, testing, and version control

Good-to-have skills:

• Experience with SAP AI Core for deploying, managing, and consuming AI models
• Familiarity with SAP Joule as an AI copilot, including creating and customizing skills or agents
• Understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) ecosystem and its integration with AI applications
• Experience implementing semantic search and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) applications using SAP HANA's vector database capabilities
