Description of the Role

1 The Application Support Specialist of L2 level will perform a critical role in Application Support and Service Management with responsibility to ensure stability continuity and availability of the application in addition to providing rapid response to incidents and escalated user queries

2 Technical Support and Maintenance of the Business Service and Applications

3 Handson and should be able to work independently and if required guide team mates

4 Responsible for support implementation of application improvement initiatives

5 Own maintain and track incidents through their entire lifecycle

6 Strong Analytical skills

7 Utilise the bank defined best practices standards and tools in application delivery documentation and support

****Essential Skills****

1 Evidence of strong experience of IT software support

2 Knowledge of Banking domain will be an added advantage

3 Experience in JavaJ2EE from development perspective

4 Good knowledge in Unix Linux

5 Experience in writing queries in SQL language for running on Oracle MS SQL or Postgress other DBMS essential

6 Knowledge of open shift technology from development perspective

7 Able to investigate and debug production issues from technical perspective

8 Shell scripting will be an added advantage

9 Functional knowledge of Digital banking will be added advantage

10 Knowledge of OpenShift Container Platform will be required
