Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by actively monitoring and investigating issues across various critical business system components. This role requires a dynamic approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behaviors, and ensuring smooth operation by promptly resolving disruptions. The position demands continuous engagement with complex software environments to maintain system reliability and support business continuity through effective troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to improve system performance and reliability through proactive issue identification and resolution.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team to enhance overall technical capabilities.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of support activities with business objectives.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Database Management.
- Strong skills in database performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, and data integrity management.
- Experience with database monitoring tools and diagnostic techniques to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Ability to analyze complex system logs and trace problems to their root cause within database environments.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation to streamline routine database maintenance tasks.
- Capability to work with cross-functional teams to implement database changes and upgrades with minimal disruption.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Database Management.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
