In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting FutureNow Centers, where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As an Application Architect specializing in Google Cloud, you will analyze and translate IT requirements into components of a modernized solution using modernization frameworks. You will leverage your expertise in legacy asset analysis, code restructuring, and refactoring to deliver solutions applicable for Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Google App Engine. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Design Modernized Solutions: Analyze and translate IT requirements into components of a modernized solution using modernization frameworks, ensuring seamless integration with Google Cloud based platform components and services. • Lead Legacy Asset Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of legacy platforms, identifying opportunities for code restructuring, refactoring, and conversion to executable business rules for GKE and Google App Engine. • Develop Hybrid Cloud Applications: Collaborate with delivery teams to design, develop, and test applications in hybrid cloud environments, ensuring effective integration and service exposure mechanisms. • Enhance Digital Modernization Assets: Reuse and enhance digital modernization assets, methods, and collateral to drive efficient solution delivery and methodology. • Guide Service Exposure Mechanisms: Oversee the design and implementation of service exposure mechanisms to interface components for reuse by Systems of Engagement.

• Legacy Asset Analysis Expertise: Experience with analyzing legacy platforms, identifying opportunities for code restructuring, refactoring, and conversion to executable business rules for Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Google App Engine. • Modernization Frameworks Knowledge: Experience with modernization frameworks to analyze and translate IT requirements into components of a modernized solution, ensuring seamless integration with Google Cloud based platform components and services. • Hybrid Cloud Development Experience: Experience developing and testing applications in hybrid cloud environments, with expertise in effective integration and service exposure mechanisms. • Google Cloud Platform Expertise: Experience with Google Cloud based platform components and services, including Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Google App Engine. • Code Restructuring and Refactoring Skills: Experience with code restructuring and refactoring to deliver solutions applicable for GKE and Google App Engine.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Legacy Platform Familiarity: Experience with one or more legacy platforms, including expertise in code restructuring and refactoring, is beneficial for this role. • Hybrid Cloud Testing: Familiarity with development and testing of applications in hybrid cloud environments is advantageous for successful collaboration with delivery teams. • Digital Modernization Asset Enhancement: Experience reusing and enhancing digital modernization assets, methods, and collateral is valuable for driving efficient solution delivery and methodology.
