Analytics Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Analytics Engineer who can bridge the gap between data engineering and business analytics. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to translate business problems into scalable data solutions, build robust data models, and deliver impactful insights through modern analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions
• Design and develop data models (dimensional models, semantic layers) using tools like Snowflake, DBT, and Power BI
• Build and optimize Power BI datasets and reports using DAX and Power Query
• Write efficient analytical SQL queries across Snowflake and SQL Server
• Develop and maintain consumption-layer data models for analytics and reporting
• Consolidate and modernize data solutions to reduce technical debt
• Define, document, and maintain business metrics and data definitions
• Implement data quality checks (DBT tests, SQL validations) and contribute to governance standards
• Collaborate with Data Engineers using Git-based workflows (PRs, code reviews)
• Support iterative delivery in Agile environments

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field
• 6+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering / BI Engineering / Data Analysis
• Strong expertise in SQL (advanced queries, window functions, performance tuning)
• Hands-on experience with data modeling (dimensional modeling, semantic layers)
• Proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, report design & optimization)
• Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
• Strong understanding of data visualization best practices
• Experience working with multiple data sources (warehouses, APIs, databases)
• Familiarity with Git workflows (branching, PRs, version control)
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate data into business insights
• Experience working in Agile methodology

Good to Have

• Experience with DBT for data transformation
• Exposure to Python for automation or data analysis
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Codex, etc.)
• Experience with MicroStrategy
• Knowledge of data governance / data catalog tools
• Domain experience in Telecom, SaaS, or B2B industries
