Role Description

The AI Engineer Mid Level will work on designing, developing, and deploying AI models and systems that support Formee Holdings technology and product initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and training machine learning and neural network models, implementing NLP solutions, and collaborating with software development teams to integrate AI capabilities into production applications. The role involves analyzing data patterns, optimizing model performance, and contributing to scalable, maintainable AI architectures. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver practical, high-impact AI solutions.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform market research on latest technologies, AI and machine learning to ensure the team is using the best tools and practices.
• Develop fully functional features, using AI tools to expedite delivery and enhance quality.
• Perform experiments with AI to enhance engineering processes, including decomposition, solution design, code generation, and troubleshooting.
• Document the best practices and techniques in guides that enable others to harness the power of generative AI effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and backend developers, to implement robust and scalable solutions using React.js and Next.js
• Research third-party software and perform integration, as required.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices in software development.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues reported by users or identified through testing.
• Collaborate with other team members to define and implement innovative solutions for project direction, visuals, and experience.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices.
• Experience with Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks, including designing, training, and evaluating machine learning and deep learning models.
• Hands-on skills in Natural Language Processing (NLP), such as text classification, entity recognition, and language modeling.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI (e.g., Python), and experience with ML/DL frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Ability to work with large datasets, perform data preprocessing, and apply statistical and analytical methods to derive insights.
• Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field from IIT.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience with cloud platforms and MLOps practices (e.g., model deployment, monitoring) is an advantage.
