Job Description

An Accountant with 3 years of experience is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing balance sheets and income statements, managing accounts payable/receivable,

Key Responsibilities

  • General Ledger & Reporting: Maintain accurate general ledgers, perform bank reconciliations, and prepare monthly/annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements).
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage vendor payments, reconcile invoices, and ensure timely collections.
  • Compliance & Tax: Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, income tax) and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Financial Analysis & Budgeting: Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and conducting variance analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in accounting systems and implement improvement.


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar finance role.

Job Location: Arusha, Tanzania (Africa)


Salary: Negotiable
