3D Animator

About the Role

Fourth Act Studios is looking for a talented and passionate 3D Animator to join our growing creative team. You will work on high-quality animation projects spanning commercial content, digital media, and branded storytelling. This role demands a strong command of Maya, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to bring characters, products, and environments to life with compelling motion.

Key Responsibilities

Create high-quality 3D animations using Autodesk Maya for commercial, digital, and branded content projects

Develop and refine character, object, and environmental animations in line with creative briefs

Collaborate with directors, editors, and the creative team to ensure animation aligns with the overall vision

Manage animation pipelines from blocking and spline to final polish

Maintain consistency in motion, timing, and style across multiple deliverables

Contribute to the development of internal animation guidelines and style frameworks

Meet project deadlines while maintaining a high standard of creative output

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of professional experience in 3D animation

Strong proficiency in Autodesk Maya rigging knowledge is a plus

Solid understanding of core animation principles: timing, weight, squash & stretch, follow-through

A portfolio showcasing a range of animation work (character, product, motion graphics)

Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate them into compelling visuals

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

Experience with motion graphics or visual effects (VFX)

Familiarity with rendering engines such as Arnold, V-Ray, or Redshift

Knowledge of After Effects or compositing tools

Experience in commercial or advertising production

Understanding of camera work, lighting, and staging principles in 3D
