From German Tech Student to CEO of K Tools for Humanity: My Journey into AI-Driven Currency Development
From humble beginnings as a software engineer with a passion for problem-solving, I went on to co-found Roinn, a company revolutionizing critical infrastructure for AI-driven roads and building solutions that empower humanity on a global scale.
- 1. Interviewee met Sam and Max, co-founders of Roiné, through a series of coincidences.
- 2. They offered him to join their project, which was to create Ro Coin.
- 3. The interviewwee is the CEO of K tools for Humanity, a company that builds critical infrastructure for AI-driven roads.
- 4. He got into technology at a young age and had a goal of building companies in Silicon Valley.
- 5. He studied deep learning and Transformer at a small AI field in Germany.
- 6. He was declined to attend YC 1220, a conference hosted by Sam, so he flew to the US anyway and met influential people.
- 7. After being declined, he sent an application video to a venture capitalist and was able to interview with associates of Sam's.
- 8. This led to him flying to San Francisco for the first time and meeting important people in the industry.
- 9. He then got admitted to the Celtic research program and was contacted by Sam and Max to join Roiné.
- 10. The goal of Ro Coin is to give ownership to every human and solve proof of person or proof of unique humanism.
- 11. They also want to launch a digital currency and decentralize the network to scale it even further.
- 12. One of the earliest debates was around having a developer focus versus scaling first, and they chose to ignore the former and focus on the latter.
- 13. The interviewee built a prototype for a hardware device to sign up and verify people, but it failed at first.
- 14. They then iterated and improved the device until they were able to raise their series A.
- 15. The interviewee emphasizes the importance of founders being problem solvers and going deep into understanding the problems they face.
- 16. He also warns against using this as an excuse to be a horrible manager.
- 17. The ultimate goal is to create systems that make everyone truly human, no matter where they come from or what they struggle with.
- 18. This includes rethinking how we handle our economy and social systems if strong AGI systems are developed.
